If you’re in the United States and you turn on the TV, accidentally open twitter, or start to read a newspaper app, chances are you’ll see a bunch of people talking about the upcoming federal election.
But what you might not see much of - coverage of the local elections where you live. Let alone, information about those policy makers’ climate ideas.
Which is frustrating because, I’m going to let you in on a little secret now: a lot of climate policy happens at the state and local level.
Compared to the federal government, local and state lawmakers are typically more efficient - they get more done in less time. They’re often easier to get in contact with and just physically closer than your federal lawmakers working in DC. Plus, local laws tend to have a lot more direct impact on your life and how your community responds to the climate crisis. For example, a lot of your local tax money probably goes to fund education. Your locally elected school board is in charge of how that funding is used, and they get to decide if your local school district buys electric busses, or adds a climate change section to the curriculum.
But why is that? Why is your local government so much better set up for implementing climate solutions than the federal government?

I wonder what their backup power source is. When the sun sets 100% of all solar panels fail and when the wind does not blow for several days at a time this means a total renewables failure at night. Georgetown may think it is 100% renewable but this would be wishful thinking or more commonly known as delusion.

More people die of cold - there have been fewer deaths due to rising temperatures as well as due to to improved technologies - the fact that we have known for ages that stopping all CO2 production would make didley squat difference to climate change (even if it were a driving force which has not been proven) they still have to keep pushing the net zero option with manipulations of the facts, including 'saving lives'. This is all about a incremental programming of the masses to accept a global currency of mutual culpability in order to control people.

By tripling carbon dioxide levels over a base of three hundred ppm the rise in heat would be? Approximately 0.004 degrees Celsius. If you triple it again the rise would be 0.00003 degrees. Imagine trying to get a suntan under a massive shade screen with 99.96% blockout. Adding more c02 or most other ghg would change it to 99.90% blockout

Why does the main method measuring pollutants from an air quality prospective involve a category called PM which includes dust particles, and pollen? Measuring PM is the like measuring dollars from sand in the ground. High PM doesn't tell you anything about how healthy the air is breath in -- fact: PM readings will be high when there is steam or high humidity in the air, and that measurement will be indistinguishable between when there's an actual dangerous pollutant in the air. There is such thing as gas chromatography, can the EPA not afford it? If science shows that millions of people die each year from pollution one can't help but think they should be held accountable.

The more you look into carbon dioxide, the more troublesome it becomes. What you can do right now is to reduce power consumption at night when solar power generation is not generating power. The product that is my icon is developed to reduce air conditioning consumption in summer through passive cooling. However, although we have a concept for a type that can be attached to windows, we have not been able to realize it. If you know anyone who works for a window manufacturer, please introduce them to us. The other day, I had a meeting with a major Japanese manufacturer, but it turned out to be a no-brainer as most of them prioritized profits over global warming countermeasures.

This video would be much more creditable without the "Climate Change" disclaimer. This video carries the disclaimer of "Climate Change" as defined by the United Nation's IPCC which itself has a statement of legal data transparency in the back of the IPCC science report that it took its greenhouse gas samples at 20,000 meters altitude and only that one altitude! It is high school knowledge that all greenhouse radiant energy from the earth is completely absorbed by greenhouse gases within 20 meters of the radiating surface. There is no greenhouse radiant energy at 20,000 meters altitude. That data transparency statement protects the authors of the IPCC science report from fraud prosecution, because the idea that greenhouse gases can cause global warming is deceptive marketing. It is impossible for greenhouse gas behavior to cause global warming. Greenhouse gas behavior works in earth's greenhouse effect that is always in saturation from water vapor. Earth's greenhouse effect is frequently used in high school as an example of system that is always in saturation that is all around us in everyday life. Promoting a falsehood such as the IPCC has done should make it not an organization to promote to others.

Hog Wash chronicles the efforts of a group of international environmentalists, investors, and researchers as they attempt to find an ecologically friendly process to clean-up the toxic waste pouring into lakes, rivers, and streams from confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs). This book begins in New Orleans but quickly transitions to Brussels, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome. Hog Wash is a first-hand account of what can go terribly wrong when well-intentioned, but naïve academics confront savvy, experienced conmen. There was too much at stake for this project to ever be successful. Too many powerful, wealthy people had too much to lose by protecting the environment. Hog Wash is the third installment of John W. Sutherlin’s ‘environmental trilogy’. Like his previous books, Hog Wash is methodically documented and written in an accessible style that is more like a novel than nonfiction.
